Healthy Ponds® 2-in-1 Blue or Black Colorant and Pond Water Cleaner reduces excess nutrients while adding a beautiful reflective color to the pond. Designed for ongoing, monthly pond care that is both convenient and economical.
DIRECTION FOR USE:
Calculate gallons to be treated: Length x Width x Depth x 7.5 = Total Gallons
One-half ounce of colorant treats up to 50,000 gallons
- Calculate ounces of colorant needed to treat the pond.
Total Gallons ÷ 100,000 = Ounces of product
Example:
To treat 50,000 gallons of water, apply 1/2 ounce of pond colorant.
To treat 100,000 gallons of water, apply 1 ounce of pond colorant. - Measure the needed amount of colorant.
- Broadcast into the pond from multiple locations when possible.
- For dramatic appearance, add additional colorant after waiting 12-24 hours. Monitor color every 30 days, to determine the longevity of color and application frequency. Record usage rate records for future reference.
HELPFUL APPLICATION TIPS:
Applying the colorant upwind will help it disperse throughout your pond. Always document and update how much pond dye you applied. This will help you determine the timing and amount of product needed for future applications. Water quality and turbidity will affect the amount of colorant required to maintain the desired effect. Rainfall, sunlight and pond conditions will affect how frequently you will need to reapply the colorant. Always wear gloves, and protect your clothing when applying colorants. Treated water may be used for irrigation, aquaculture, swimming, fishing and will not stain or harm waterfowl, fish, livestock or wildlife.
Do not apply to water that may be used for human consumption. Do not apply to streams, rivers or bodies of water not under the control of the user.
PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT: When handling this dry product, wear eye protection and gloves. Avoid excessive contact with skin, eyes or clothing. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed: Call poison control center or doctor immediately.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store sealed container in a cool, dry place. Protect from freezing. Recycle or dispose of container in a sanitary landfill or by procedures approved by state and local authorities.
