Start Anyway
I don't know about you, but I like to achieve. I like to check things off my list. I like to do a good job. I like to see results. And I want to make a difference. I have high standards, and while that is important, sometimes those very standards can paralyze me. Can anyone relate?
I have had a dream for quite some time of funding 100 wells in Africa. It is a beautiful dream and one that I am quite sure that I will see come to pass.
Building this business has taken longer than I anticipated. I think we often get built between the moment of our dream and seeing that dream come to pass! And it isn't always easy, is it?
Each well is $7500. Somewhere along the way, I thought I needed to have all the money before I started to give it. I wanted to give it in complete segments.
I was starting to get discouraged because the $7500 seemed so far away. Then something inside of me switched. No, I can't fund an entire well right now. But I can give a percentage of everything I sell so that villages in Africa are closer to receiving clean water!
So I started. Last month, I was able to give 10% of my sales to the well-drilling team at Iris. Yes!!
If you'd like to be part of helping, you can donate here. 100% of the donations will go to Iris Ministries as they have the drilling equipment, connections, and the local people to drill and maintain the wells. I have been to the villages where wells have been dug, and it actually does change everything.
